Before we get into the details of deep cleaning your hot tub, let's first remember that light cleaning is essential to maintain its cleanliness. You should clean your hot tub's cover every week, wash the tub as you would a bathtub, and maintain its water chemistry. This means that you should test the pH, alkalinity and sanitizer levels using a test kit, and adjust as necessary. Bromine or chlorine will be your sanitizer, although the former is more gentle and common. We recommend that you have a thorough, deep clean every three to four months.

How To Clean a Hot Tub
First, Treat the Water
Remove your filter cartridge as long as there are no visible particles in your water. The Hot tub cleaner can be added to the water. Allow the water to circulate for one hour. Make sure that the water jets are on. Cleaners can cause water to foam. You may need to run your hot tub for several hours if it hasn't been cleaned thoroughly in a while.
